Celebrating and Communicating

We celebrated Black History Month across the school making connections to our past, present and future and to our curriculum. We expressed ourselves and our identities with creativity.

4th Grade celebrated their research with a Black History Museum featuring African Americans from the past and present as students looked forward to their future.
Second graders presented information in character. We learned about Barack and Michelle Obama, Maya Angelou and Loretta Scott King. They are creative communicators.
We welcomed family and friends to the Grade Four Wax Museum.

Service and action is an important part of everything we do. Grade 8 students are preparing for Community Project. Some Grade 5 planners have created their own tutoring service.

More Connections

We were fortunate enough host a group of students and teachers from Wales. Thanks to SOLE for making this great connection for us. Students and teachers spent time in classes learning together and sharing culture with each other.
